Leather Panel Forming Shot Bag 18-inch Metal Shaping Beater Bag

Description

I do automotive upholstery for a living and make these metal shaping/panel forming shot bags, or beater bags, in my upholstery shop. I use high quality, thick, smooth leather for the bag. It's double-stitched all the way around and I use hook and loop fastener for the fill hole, as well as a screw stud to ensure it never pops open while using it. The bottom piece is reversed to expose the rough side of the leather which aids in keeping the bag in place while working with it. I've had good luck with using play sand from the local home improvement store for fill material. It's economical and easy to get.
After selling the 12-inch version for a while, I've had requests to offer an 18-inch version, so here it is.  The first picture is the bag I use, shown on my home-made stand. Please note that the price is for one empty 18-inch panel bag and none of the tools seen in the photos or fill material is included.
Please note: the color of leather used for the panel bags changes, based on availability. They will always be made from the same, high quality, thick, smooth leather. The colors will range from reddish-brown, as in the first picture, to medium and lighter shades of brown, as shown in the last five pictures.
