    Description

    This listing is for an original pottery bowl that was made in Nicaragua in San Juan de Oriente.  It is in excellent pre-owned condition with no chips or cracks.  My daughter served three years in the Peace Corps during the 1990s.  She was actually the one who convinced the potters of San Juan de Oriente that they needed to sign their work.  Up until that time, there were no markings on the pottery whatsoever.  This particular vase is signed on the bottom and reads "Handmade in Nicaragua - San Juan de Oriente - Masaya - Juan Paulino Martinez."   It measures approximately 8" in diameter and is approximately 4" deep.  When we visited her, we purchased way too many pieces of pottery so it is now time to pass some of it along to those who can use and enjoy it.  This bowl will be coming from a smoke-free and pet-free home.  Please email me with any questions.
